Jessica is a mental health counselor with a private practice in
downtown Olympia, Washington, specializing in eating disorders and
body image issues. When she is not counseling or teaching psychology
at South Puget Sound Community College, Jessica works as an Eating
Disorder Awareness and Prevention Educator, giving presentations and
participating in panel discussions on body image and eating
disorders both locally and nationally.
Jessica has presented information on eating disorders and body image
to diverse audiences over the last seven years, from personal
trainers, to sororities, nutritionists, dieticians, parents, teens,
college students, recreation professionals and at national and local
conferences, including: the National Eating Disorder Association’s
Annual Conference, the Greater Seattle Dietetic Association
Conference, and the Interagency Committee for State Employed Women’s
Conference.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of
Puget Sound and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Western
Washington University.
